Here’s the key responsibilities that will shape this role:

• Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and inspire our geographically diverse and distributed team of engineers.
  • Develop and mentor team members for career growth and skills enhancement.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention of premier engineering talent.
• Strategy and Vision:
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the company’s technical vision and strategy.
  • Ensure alignment of engineering initiatives with company goals.
• Product Development:
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Foster innovation and efficiency in product development.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure the engineering team adopts best practices in software development.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments, including Product, Marketing, and Sales, to align engineering outputs with business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including interfacing with key technical partners to discuss high-level integration.
• Budget and Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage the engineering budget.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project completion and scalability.
• Risk Management and Quality Assurance:
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and provide technical leadership to maintain best in class security and privacy protocols.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain high software quality.
  • Assist in efforts to secure SOC2 and other related security, privacy or compliance certifications.

Qualifications of a successful candidate

• 5+ years software engineering leadership experience.
